Successful Participation in the International HBSC Conference

We would like to thank the Healthy Generation team from Palacký University for the valuable invitation to the international HBSC conference held at the Liechtenstein Palace in Prague.

Second-year students from the English section presented the results of their research focused on the healthy lifestyle of the young generation, which was conducted in cooperation with Trilogy School, Gainesville, Florida (USA). Their presentation was a dignified representation of the school and an inspiring contribution to the professional discussion.

We greatly appreciate this opportunity and look forward to future cooperation.

CREATIVE WRITING 2026

We are delighted to share the results of the 7th round of our school’s Creative Writing Competition, held this year under the theme “The TRUTH.

We would like to sincerely thank all participants for their effort, courage, and the remarkable quality of their writing. Their openness and willingness to explore the theme made this year’s competition truly special. A big thank you also goes to the SRGH for their support.

HEY TALKS 2026

On March 18, the school-wide Hey-Talks competition (inspirational speeches in English) took place.

In the lower category, Vojtěch Hradil (I.A6) won first place, Eva Elizabeth Štěrbová (III.B8) took second place, and Štěpánka Kočišová (II.B8) placed third.

In the upper category, Lucie Berková (III.A4) won first place, Karolína Tomozsková (IV.A6) took second place, and Jakub Zatloukal (II.A4) placed third.

We warmly congratulate all the winners on a truly inspiring day. A huge thank you goes out to all our colleagues for the excellent organization of the entire event.

SUCCESS IN THE BEST IN ENGLISH INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION

On November 27, 2025, students from our school took part in the Best in English international online competition. Despite strong competition, we achieved an excellent result – 1st place among 352 schools in the Czech Republic and 3rd place out of a total of 793 schools worldwide.

Special recognition goes to the following students:

Marek Koloušek (VI.A6) – 10th place (out of 12,900) in the Czech Republic, 26th place (out of 31,456) worldwide
Vojtěch Korhoň (VIII.A8) – 27th place (out of 12,900) in the Czech Republic, 63rd place (out of 31,456) worldwide
Lucie Hutníková (IV.B4) – 34th place (out of 12,900) in the Czech Republic, 93rd place (out of 31,456) worldwide

We would like to thank all students for their participation and excellent representation of the school. We are delighted that we are moving up the school rankings every year.

HEJČÍN KMOTROU UČEBNICE ENGLISH FILE

Hejčín se stal kmotrou páté edice učebnice angličtiny English File, kterou již řadu let ve výuce používáme. Knihu pokřtil 15. května 2025 v zahradě své rezidence za účasti učitelů angličtiny z celé ČR britský velvyslanec pan Matthew Field OBE. Za hejčínské angličtináře na akci jako jedna z kmoter promluvila Mgr. Hana Mádrová. Děkujeme panu ambasadorovi, nakladatelství Oxford University Press a Megabooks za vzácné pozvání. Bylo nám ctí stát u kolébky nejnovější edice.

HEY TALK 2025

Ve finále školní konverzační soutěže HEY TALKS 2025 studenti napříč všemi typy studia podali skvělé výkony. V kategorii nižší gymnázium zvítězila Eva Elisabeth Štěrbová, II.B8. 2. místo obsadil Mikuláš Jabůrek z téže třídy a 3. místo obsadila Samantha Eliza Gregorjan, II.B6. V kategorii vyšší gymnázium zvítězila Karolína Tomoszková z III.A6, 2. místo obsadila Christina Dostálová, III.A6 a 3. místo Martin Hladeček, V.C6. Všem soutěžícím děkujeme za inspirativní příspěvky a výborné výkony. Děkujeme návštěvě ze spřáteleného Gymnázia Konice za podporu a SRHG za podporu a příspěvek na ceny.
